Six months of great distinction

In October 2011, i decided to train myself for half-marathon. For me it was like great achievement of my life ))) can you imagine - run over 20km for speed - it`s unbelievable! Also i decided to make this, because i had incident with water-ski, so my nose was broken and my doctor told me that i could not run long distance. I can`t tell that the beginning was easy one: i need to run and to increase my distance for 15-20% each week (for achieving 30km/week) and as it was winter, outside temp.were -15- -25`C. So you can imagine how difficult for was to wake up at 5:30am and to go running outside when it was dark and cold!Thats how i passed my november, december, january, february and 1/2march. In 20th of march analyzing my results, coach give me an offer to prepare myself for the marathon. I answered - "maybe", because i need to be sure that i can run 42km.
This how begins six-mounths preparation.
Firstly it was very exciting for me: first half-marathon, lots of competitions, new friends, lots of fun :)) After third half-marathon (appx. second training month) it become very hard for me. Once i even couldn`t getup from my bed, i used to spend two days sleeping and eating (out of my diet). So i`ve changed my training plan - to easer one. Then bike-season started...oh... 50k running/per week plus 60-100k bike riding. I passed out and once more changed my plan. And it include: 60k bike riding, 35-40k running (endurance+one sprint training) and stretching+muscle training. This how i needed to live during 3 months.

Nine weeks before GREAT day i need to run 30k. My first 30K, to see can i run this much or not :) Day before first 30K, i made a training for friends: so i run ~12k with speed 5,4min/k. not bad ;) At the morning i felt myself very very tired, but if decided something i will do it. So 1st of July with help of my good friend i run 30k ---> http://connect.garmin.com/player/194898332. i WAS VERY VERY HAPPY. Proud of myself ;)
Then i saw in my plan that after three weeks i need to run 35K. Heh... started to prepare for it. And in 29th of july i did it! - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/204145047 -- i passed 35k board!!! In latest 2007 my professor of physiology told me - if you can run 35K- you can run a marathon! So after 35K i officially register myself to Valmeras marathon 8)))
After 35K, i need to see my power in 40K. Board need to passed in 19th of august. But...as i was very very tired..i couldn`t run this race :(( i quit myself at 24,7k :( badly. It was shock for me!!! Before you see you power - you can run distance you`ve decided but not now :((( i count that i have one more week to see if i could run 40k.
In 26th of august i went to Saulkrasti (my summer house), took some isotonic and maltodextrin with me. At 8:46am i start mt second try... and i did it!!! i couldn`t say it was difficult or easy - it was GREAT! --- http://connect.garmin.com/activity/215049757. Even i have strict graphic, i participate in 4 more half-marathons and one x-trail competitions ;)

Now is 5th of september, 11 days left till marathon. I feel myself great ;))
Will see how it will be... on 16th of september...
